How Should I Brush My Teeth to Avoid Receding Gum?
Teeth should be brushed with a medium-hard brush, without applying too much pressure by hand, and always from the gum to the tooth. Electric toothbrushes with a pressure sensor are recommended by dentists.
How Do Gum Diseases Cause Gum Recession?
Gum disease starts in the soft tissue, and if left untreated, it reaches the tissues surrounding the tooth and eventually the bone. Gum recession occurs as a result of bone loss due to inflammation.
